Your home, Our privilege –We provide excellence residential care, in luxury surroundings that cater to your every need. This is your home; our role is to provide all the support you require to live well. The master plan has a site area of 50 acres, of which 5 acres is a dedicated parkland area. The 45 acres of residentially zoned lands are fully master-planned to deliver in excess of 600 homes. Planning permission is being sought for the first 70 Residential units and the balance of planning applications will be lodged by the end of 2021.
SignaCare Waterford
This has resulted in both unit types having an additional family space next to the kitchen. A new distributor road through the site will link the development to the main Waterford to New Ross Road. The development will provide quick access to the M9 Motorway and Belview Port Industrial estate that avoids morning traffic delays. This offers great connectivity to surrounding urban centres such as Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford, New Ross & Clonmel, which are less than 45 minutes’ drive away. A new planned greenway will further connect the development to North Quays and Waterford City by a dedicated pedestrian and cyclist route.

We will encourage and support residents to maintain links outside the nursing home, and endeavor to welcome the local and wider community to contribute in meaningful and purposeful activities for our residents. There is a variety of house types consisting of 2, 3, 4 & 5 bedroom homes to cater to first-time buyers, Families, and the Elderly. The 3 & 4-bed semi-detached houses have been cleverly designing to optimise the net to gross ratio resulting in reduced circulation space and larger living and bedroom spaces.

Eily died peacefully surrounded by her family in the kind and gentle care of the staff at SignaCare Nursing Home, Ferrybank, Waterford. These beautifully finished 2 bedroom homes are fitted out to the highest standards. The C2 type has a stunning open plan ground floor seamlessly connecting the lounge, kitchen and dining areas. Waterford Health Park is a multi disciplinary primary care medical facility conveniently located on Slievekeale Road, Waterford city Across from Walsh Park GAA grounds. There will be an emphasis on continuing education and training, to ensure all staff are up-to-date with best practice, therefore providing the highest standard of care. In SignaCare we are committed to providing and developing ongoing excellence in care, in line with best practice and continuous quality improvement.
Maypark House Nursing Home & Rockshire Care Centre have confirmed today that the challenges presented in operating a small, family-run nursing homes are proving unsustainable and they have taken the very difficult decision to cease operations. In a statement to WLR News today, the family say they made the difficult decision to close due to HIQA's "unrealistic expectations of small nursing homes". Physiotherapists provide individual person centered plans to optimise independence and function. We have several areas where they can comfortably spend time with our residents, and can also enjoy our gardens and the residents’ kitchen. Our spacious and welcoming living areas are complemented by bedrooms filled with natural light – all combining to create a beautiful environment for our residents.

Each of our facilities is designed to the highest standards to facilitate the delivery of exceptional care, while also providing a safe, welcoming place for residents to call home. The resident will be encouraged to participate in working together with management and staff towards continuous quality improvement of the services through daily communication and our residents Committee, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment. The nursing homes run by the Dwyer family have been in operation for over 40 years. They provide accommodation for up to 38 residents in each nursing home and have taken great pride in providing person-centred care to hundreds of people from Waterford, South Kilkenny and the surrounding area. “The prospect of closing the doors for the last time will be devastating for all involved. It has been a genuine honour and privilege to be entrusted with caring for all our residents alongside our dedicated staff who have and will continue to provide exceptional care,” the spokesperson said. We value the uniqueness of each individual and we are guided by our commitment to excellence that ensures every resident will enjoy our passionate and professional care. We aim to enhance the ability of residents to participate in and contribute to, daily life.

The family expressed their thanks to the people of the South East and the many local businesses “for their great support over the past 40 years”. The spokesperson said that focus would now “turn to our residents, their families and our staff as we navigate this period of transition together and we ask that their privacy is respected”. There are a total of 65 residents between the two homes and it's understood assistance will be provided to find new places for those people.
One of the most energy efficient new buildings in Waterford City - consisting of a Convent and Care Home for Religious Sisters, in addition to their Residential / Communal Residential Use - the the Little Sisters of The Poor Ferrybank also provides 22 No. Residents enjoy visiting local areas of interest such as coffee shops, favourite lunch spots, concert halls, historical sites, libraries etc. Mealtimes are a relaxed part of each day, with lots of time for chat and socialising.
This facility straddles the Waterford/Kilkenny boundary and provides accommodation for 80 elderly persons . We represent the vast majority of nursing homes in Ireland, and they’re all listed here. The local Ferrybank Allotments project and Top of the City garden project have shown the kind of resilience that working on a green area to grow one’s own vegetables and seasonal flowers can have. Both have been taken up in large numbers by older persons and have been accredited with fostering friendships, teaching new skills and adding new areas of bio diversity to our urban areas. Maypark Nursing Home was last inspected by the Health Information and Quality Authority on May 26, 2021.

The Little Sisters of the Poor first came to Waterford in 1868.They rented a house at 3 Adelphi Terrace.They remained there until 1874 when they moved to Manor Hill.
