Most itineraries arrive in Juneau in the afternoon due to the longer travel time. When taking an Alaska cruise from Seattle, vessels stop in Victoria, British Columbia, to comply with the Passenger Vessel Services Act. Your stop at the Victoria cruise port may last four to five hours or all day. One port is conveniently located downtown, and the other is further north. The cruising season typically runs from April to October, with April, May, September, and October being shoulder season. Of course, if you rent a car you will have to pay to park it at the port once you get there.
Cruise Ships
The staff then picks them up and they are sent to the airport and loaded on the plane. That way you can explore the city for the day or simply head to the airport without worrying about your luggage. If so, then you’ve got to find somewhere to park your car during your trip.
Westfield Southcenter Mall also offers a complimentary local shuttle to the mall from the hotel. During cruise ship season the hotel provides a convenient transportation to Pier 66 or Pier 91, provided by a third party company. The transfer can be arranged at the hotel at your check in time. The hotel does not have it’s own shuttle service, but can help you arrange transportation.
Trains depart every 6 to 15 minutes, depending on the time of day. Prices are based on travel to Pier 91 Smith Cove cruise terminal and Bell Street Pier 66 in the downtown area. From Hampton Inn & Suites, you also get to enjoy shuttle rides to pier 66 and 91 for a fee. You get to enjoy quick, convenient, and reliable rides through these shuttles (please check with hotel for latest shuttle information). While at Holiday Inn Express Seattle hotel, you get to enjoy the professional and diverse staff.

Cruise Seattle
Amtrak trains arrive and depart Seattle at the downtown King Street Station. The station is a 10-minute drive to the Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66 and a 20-minute drive to the Smith Cove Terminal at Pier 91. If you intend on taking your car to the Port of Seattle, below are driving directions to both terminals. The Port of Seattle is already halfway through its 2021 cruise season, with more than 40 remaining sailings as of September 1.

Opened in 2012, the Seattle venue displays his stunning work in an indoor/outdoor museum. The Exhibition Hall features eight galleries and the Glasshouse, a centerpiece with a massive suspended sculpture. This vibrant, 100-foot-long piece sparkles in natural light. Seattle Yellow Cab is the most visible company in the city and has stands in the Sea-Tac International Airport. Pier 91While Pier 66 is the most “visible” cruise pier due to its location, more people sail from Pier 91. That’s because it’s served by a much greater number of cruise lines, including Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, and Princess. The location is north of downtown, but a short distance away. There is also parking right nearby if you are driving in for a cruise.
In April 2018, CT 18 became the first in Puget Sound with moved 5500 TEUs on and off a single boxship (container carrier), which averaged 30 gantry-crane moves per hour. During the Port's inaugural cruise season (1999) were handled only 6 ship calls and 6615 passengers. Pier 57 also hosts a variety of activities, from dining at The Crab Pot and sampling bread at Alaska Sourdough Bakery to enjoying the carousel. If you have limited time to explore before or after your cruise or if the cruise ship is docking for a short day, here are some of the Seattle Attractions you can experience. Both cruise terminals provide seating for passengers in the embarkation halls. The Bell St. Terminal at Pier 66 has about 250 chairs, while the Smith Cove Terminal at Pier 91 provides seating for about 500 people. A VIP area for suite passengers is available at the Bell St. Terminal. Cruise lines also offer airport to cruise terminal shuttles for guests arriving on the same day the cruise departs.
Quick Shuttle or Amtrak are great options if you’re embarking in Seattle but ending in Vancouver or vice-versa. If you are flying into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport or coming from Vancouver, British Columbia, here are your transportation options. Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Carnival Cruises, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity Cruises use the Smith Cove terminal.
You can walk to the historic district where you’ll find Pike’s Public Market, the Space Needle, and other famous city attractions. Pier 66 is a short 10 minutes walk downhill from the Belltown Inn. Located right next to Pier 66, The Edgewater is an ideal per-cruise hotel stay.
Seattle is easy to navigate with a wide variety of smart transportation options for your best convenience. There is also RV and oversized vehicle parking available at Pier 91. While you don’t have to reserve ahead of time, reservations are available so that you can have one less thing to worry about on cruise day. If you’re sailing from Seattle, then you are almost assuredly headed to Alaska.
While the port offers no long-term parking, the Bell Street Pier Garage offers long-term stays across the street. However, being downtown, expect to pay a hefty fee of USD 35 per day. If you don’t mind the longer time it might take compared to a car, the Link train offers the least expensive route to the port. Starting from the airport, the rate is about $3 per person each way. On the downside the trip will take you about minutes compared to about 30 minutes via car. Located in the heart of Seattle WA, you will find everything you need to experience.
You’ll want to call the cruise line directly for the latest price and to book for your cruise, but expect the price to be $30-40 per person, each way. One more thing to keep in mind is that this price is for the car, not per person. For more details on using Uber/Lyft to the Port of Seattle (including price estimates), visit our page on the topic.
